Personal Statement

My life revolves around baseball because it is my passion. Since I can remember, I have been a baseball player. While pursuing my degrees, I plan to keep competing at the collegiate level.

I am an all around strong player. I can hit for both power and situational contact. I have a huge defensive range with quick hands and a strong arm. I strive to be a problem for the pitcher when I’m on the bases. I specialize in the mental aspect of the game. I not only understand what I need to do, but also what opponents will try to do to throw me off my game. I am a leader on and off the field, as well as a coachable player who works hard to get better everyday. Whether it be from a mechanical or athletic standpoint, I am always striving for improvement. I consistently hit and field throughout the week to improve my mechanical game. I review video to see what improvements must occur as well as what I’m doing correct. To enhance my athletic performance; I lift weights, do plyometrics, stretch, and run. As far as mental preparation before games, I always envision success so when I step on the field I can picture taking care of business. 

In the classroom, I maintain a 4.3 GPA taking honors and AP courses. I find school not only important in order to play baseball, but also for success in my future. 

I want to find the school that best fits me both academically and athletically. I strive to be the best I can be, and to continue to play the game I love.
