Personal Statement

I wasn’t ever going to be allowed to play football because my mom was afraid for me to play. My first sports experience was soccer and baseball. However, when I was 7, I promised my mom I’d run so fast that I would not get tackled and hurt. Since that day I have aspired to play at the college level. College is a big goal of mine and playing football representing my school would be the chance of a lifetime. My football IQ is exceptional backed with my mental toughness. I have become a team leader and will always try to motivate my teammates. I love to learn which makes me very coachable. I guarantee that I am one of the hardest workers you will meet. I train all year round to stay in shape. Prior to high school I played on several youth football teams and competed at a high level. Played in the UA Futures All-American game as well as the FBU freshman All-American. I received linebacker of the year for my state all while leading my MS football team to 2 championships. 

During my freshman in HS, I made the varsity team and even scored my first rushing TD in a varsity game.  During this freshman year, I have carried a 4.0 average. I love history and literature. Being a student athlete is very demanding and I am grateful for the strong foundation of support I have. I volunteer often through a mentorship program that gives back to the community. My goal in HS is to assist my team in wining another state championship and being accepted into a college with a great football program and an amazing academic course of study. 

My Pops always motivates me to do my best no matter what decision I may have. We research as much information as we can so that I can excel in school and sports.  I had to overcome playing letting emotions get to me and turning that into passion for the game. He has taught me to keep a positive outlook on life.  Football has thought me life lessons as well: being prepared, teamwork, following through with your plan and trusting the process.
