Personal Statement
When Chaparral football summer camp convened 2021, I was 5'5' 13 almost 14yr, old., I missed the previous 23mos of football due to covid. I want to thank the coaches at Chaparral for giving me every opportunity to come in late and play. From the last four years, ups and downs, ALL ON ME, I've grown and matured, academically, from 2.1 to 3.2, and physically, 5'5" to 6ft. I would consider myself a great candidate because, off the field, my goal is to obtain a master's degree in sports business management, and ultimately becoming a head football coach some day, I am focused on the long term benefits of football, comradery, relationship building, teaching being an example to young people, trying to do the right thing is hard, but it is the right thing in the long run,( found that out the hard way), and selflessness, needed today. I may want the ball on every play, but I know, not understand, that others have to get the ball, for team success. Not interested in short term monetary benefits, to each their own, however don't think for one moment that I am not hungry/ desperate, to play at the college level, because truthfully speaking, football is all I've ever cared about. I was raised in a disciplined household , not one of privilege. On the field my goal is to be the best teammate and do whatever is asked of me to help the team achieve our goals. What sets me apart from other recruits is my work ethic, dedication, loyalty and desire to compete. I don't know how to quit, give up, or settle for less than the standard that is set by myself and leadership! I've long understood that I didn't have the, age, physical or mental maturity to be a top WR in the 2025 class, two years ago. I do now! As I continue my football journey at the JUCO level, I will prove that I am as elite as any receiver in the country, just need someone to believe and take a chance on me. You will not find a better all around player.
