Personal Statement

I've loved sports my whole life. Growing up, I played basketball, flag football and ran track and cross country. But my true passion has always been soccer. I've been playing since I was 4 years old. I've played all positions on the field, however, I am strongest as an attacking or defensive center mid. Since Spring 2025,  I play for the Kansas City Athletics ECNL 08B team, which won ECNL Heartland Conference and made the ECNL Final Four in Richmond VA in 2025.  In Spring of 2024, I was the starting CDM for the St. Louis Scott Gallagher ECNL (Ill.) O8B team.  Prior to Gallagher, I started at CMF or F for my USYS P1 Team Columbia Rush from 2018-2024.  I am also a 3x ODP Missouri State Team player, and have been invited to the Regional ODP camp twice, in 2023 and 2024.  In high school, I've started varsity for Rock Bridge High School at CDM my sophomore and junior years.  Academics are a high priority for me as well.  My parents are both teachers and I've followed a rigorous academic course load in high school. I earned a 32 on my most recent ACT attempt.  At this point in high school I have a weighted GPA of 4.4 (3.97)/4.0 taking all honors or AP core courses. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, A Honor Roll and National Spanish Honor Society.  I am looking for a school that will help my development as a soccer player, student and person.
