Personal Statement
There are many things that have influenced my life and who I am today. I was raised in a two-parent household with older and younger siblings. In my opinion, my older siblings were able to help teach me right from wrong which led me to be able to also become a leader for my younger sister. Family is very important to me, and the bond that I have with my family has influenced my life in so many positive ways. I have always enjoyed watching football games and highlight clips with my family, so around the age of 8 years old I joined a little league football team for the first time. Over the years there is a lot I have learned about myself through playing football. For starters, I am a leader. Once I am shown true leadership, I am able to take that and help my teammates. I believe that is so easy for me because I also work well with others. When it comes to school, I have one academic goal. My goal is to leave school with valuable information, things that can be used later in life to help me be successful. I am every outgoing person with a humorous personality which not only keeps myself, but also others around me in good spirits. I am also very passionate about the things that I love. When it comes to where I am in life today, I have had to face some obstacles. The obstacles that I have faced include injuries that have caused me to have to take it easy for a while. The injuries that I have sustained include a concussion, hip fracture, and a strain on my growth plate in my knee. At some point those injuries have stopped me from being able to practice and get better at football which also affected me mentally due to not knowing how long I would have to sit out. However, I overcame those obstacles by not rushing my healing process and keeping a positive mindset when it comes to thinking about when I would be able to get back on the field. A unique skill that I have possessed recently is starting to edit YouTube videos. This has been something that I enjoy doing during my free time
