Pg Ny Indoor Showcase
NY, Chestnut Ridge, NY
John Parpis is a 2025 RHP/UT with a 6-3 182 lb. frame from Commack, NY who attends St. Anthony's. Durable, medium build with a taller stature and proportioned strength. The primary right-handed pitcher displayed a quick operation on the mound, working into a high leg lift to the chest, loading into the back leg well, raised his hands from his stomach to his chest before separating into a full, inline arm path, accelerated into a high three-quarters arm angle, found every corner of the zone during his outing. Fastball peaked at 85 mph and consistently remained above 2300 rpm. Slider sat in the low-70s with bite but didn’t land on a consistent basis. In the outfield, Parpis showcased a deeper arm path with plenty of arm strength when he worked through the ball and eliminated any hesitation, topped out at 84 mph from the outfield. Right-handed hitter, started in a slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger, tight hands, rounder slightly downhill swing path, some power present. Ran a 4.04 thirty-yard dash. Good student. Named to the New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

John Parpis (2025, Commack, N.Y.) played a major role in TC Blackhawks Hernandez’s run deep into the playoffs Sunday, doing it all on both sides of the field and showing off the athleticism in the process. The still-projecting 6-foot-3, 170-pound primary RHP tossed a gem in the semis with 10 strikeouts in six shutout innings while also providing value on the offensive end with a .455 average over the course of the event, including three RBI. As shown in the K numbers, Parpis has plenty of stuff in the arsenal to get by you, the best of which is an 11-5 shaped breaker flashing late vertical bite down in the zone. Velocity development still has more in the tank, topping out at 81 mph (83 in previous events).
