Personal Statement

     Throughout my life I have been an avid athlete, playing multiple sports a season, playing anything and everything, whenever I could. Over the years, I have met amazing people and have made life long friendships. I love the competition, games, and the social experiences softball gives me. I have learned many lessons from sports. Some of those things include: to be flexible, always be open and willing to learn and try, communicate with those around me, and most importantly to have fun. My coaches have all told me what a critical role I play on the team, not solely because of my abilities, but because of my attitude and personality. I know when to focus, take practices and games seriously, but also, when to have fun, welcome new players, laugh, and build lasting relationships. 

     As a three sport varsity athlete, I enjoy each of the sports I participate in; however, softball has always been my favorite as I find that softball challenges me both mentally and physically.  My goal is to not only further develop my skills at the collegiate level but to challenge myself on and off the field.  I want to grow as a person and be a leader and role model for those around me. I am looking for an academic program that will allow me to excel after college.

      While in college, I would like to grow as a person, in the classroom, on the fields, gain experiences, and build relationships with those around me. My degree/career  interests include forensic pyschology, pyschology, behavioral health, and law enforcement.
