Personal Statement

Hello Coach,

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile to learn a little bit about me athletically, scholastically and personally. At a very early age, I started playing both AYSO and football, and having played both wide receiver and defensive back in football, really helped prepare me to be the fast and physical Center Back/Back that I am today in soccer.  I am currently 6ft, 184lbs, full time starter for Strikers Irvine FC - MLS Next, and my immediate athletic goals are for me to help my 06 Strikers FC Club win another U19 MLS Next Cup Championship, to win National Championships at the collegiate level and eventually play soccer professionally.  My current and past club coaches would comment on my high soccer IQ , strong work ethic, being technically solid and an inspirational/loyal teammate, which earned me team captain on several teams.

Not knowing what my future soccer career holds, at a very young age, my parents have always stressed the importance of academics and college, so my academic goals are to graduate both high school and college with a minimum GPA of 3.8+.  I finished my Freshman year at Mater Dei with a 4.0 GPA  and made the Dean's List. 

Some of my most recent accomplishments include, being selected 1 of 4 ASB class officers my 2021/22 Freshman year at Mater Dei High School, out of 179 students that interviewed and applied, 2022/23 Scarlet Ambassador, responsible for campus tours, information nights, classroom visits and the Mater Dei Shadow program. Started every game at Centerback in the 2021-22 MLS Next league, won our MLS NEXT Flex bracket in Maryland going 3-0, we were finalists at the 2022 MLS NEXT Championship match in Dallas,  Was scouted and selected as 1 of 16 06 players to train and compete against Bundesliga Academy teams in Germany this Summer, member of the 2020 ODP Team West, which won the Western Regionals, 1 of 36 boys then selected to tryout for the National ODP Team, 2021 ECNL League Champions, going 13-1 with a goal differential of +54 in 14 matches and finalists in 2021 Surf Cup AZ., 2021 Man City Cup and 2021 Surf Cup San Diego, and 2021/2022 Strikers Cup Champions.

When I'm not in school or on the pitch, I enjoy time with my family and friends, swimming, surfing, playing FIFA and bike riding.
