Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Kinsey Irvin, and I play for Solar 05 ECNL RL/Williams. Previously, this RL team was one of 7 nationwide to qualify for the ECNL playoffs where I started 21 games and played 18 complete games at center-back. I am a senior and varsity player at prestigious Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, TX where we won the Texas State 6A Soccer Championship in 2022.  I’m looking to play competitive, high level soccer with NCAA Division I.  I have always been a natural, competitive defender in basketball, volleyball, and, of course, soccer.  My favorite position is center-back and my second is fullback. With Carroll, I am asked to play defensive mid at times, and I sometimes guest play as forward on other Solar teams where I have a high ratio of goals scored per minutes played. I am a communicative leader on the field and off, a huge team spirit advocate, and a trustworthy teammate. I am a licensed referee for the past 4 years which gives me a different and academic perspective of the game. I love to work out, and nutrition/health is very important to me. I work hard to excel in everything I do, and I'd like to work hard for you to make your program the best it can be. Academically, I have an interest in biology and would love to be in the medical field.
