Personal Statement
My aspiration is to play baseball at the collegiate level while I earn a degree in either psychology, business, or marketing. I've been playing baseball since I was 4 years old, and have loved the game my entire life. The team environment inspires and motivates me, and I love encouraging my teammates. Others have described me as kind-hearted yet competitive with great sportsmanship. Even when there are struggles on the field, I find myself naturally uplifting those on my team who need it. I know that it takes a lot for a baseball program to run and be successful, so I have always been willing and able to help make things happen, on and off the field. My strength and conditioning workouts and regular baseball coaching keep me challenged and have especially helped me pitch, throw, and hit with exponentially more power and speed during my high school years. Fortunately, I have been able to work with trainers and coaches who are inspiring and knowledgeable, and they have had a huge impact on me as a person and a player. Altogether, I feel that I will make a good addition to a collegiate baseball team that has a clear vision of purpose and a positive team environment.
With regard to academics, my GPA is strong because I am dedicated to my teachers and coursework, and I know that my grades are a reflection of that dedication. Even though I haven't quite figured out what field of study I want to major in, I look forward to the excitement of college and attaining my degree in preparation for a career. With the strong academic rigor that my high school has, I know that I will be well-prepared academically for college. In addition, our baseball program has produced some great players and has been highly ranked year after year in the state of Indiana. I believe I have benefited greatly from all my school has to offer and look forward to my future as a college baseball player.
