Personal Statement

Hello coaches! My name is Emily Marks and I am a 2023 graduate from Plainfield, Indiana. I am currently a pitcher for Fury Platinum X - Brown based in Chattanooga, TN. I also play high school softball for Plainfield High School while maintaining a 4.4 GPA.  As a pitcher, I utilize high spin rates and a strong changeup to cover all aspects of the plate and keep batters off balance. As a junior in high school, I prioritize being a leader for the underclassmen. I do this through hard work and diligent training which includes 6am training sessions at Unbreakable Athletics Academy, pitching lessons twice weekly, all high school open fields, and armcare sessions. I am also a member of the Athletic Leadership Council, where we discuss ways to be a leader both on and off the field. Regarding my academic future, I would like to major in Criminal Justice and graduate with a bachelor's degree while playing high level college softball. I will set myself apart on your team through my work ethic and team-centered attitude.
