Personal Statement

My name is Tiffany Pecorella.  I am an extremely hard-working coachable and teachable student-athlete going into my Sophomore year at Franklin High School in Somerset NJ.  I currently have a 4.5 GPA, was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and have received my nomination and application for the 2021-2022 Honor Society for the Franklin High School.  I currently have straight A's and am enrolled in all honor classes.  

I was just accepted today 1/26/22 into the 2022 National Honor Society for Franklin High School as a sophomore. 

I show leadership skills both on and off the court not only by training all year round in my craft of basketball, but also by helping my church in my youth group by either donating my time with service projects for the elderly or delivering food for those families in need throughout the year or at holidays.  I also helped organize a gift giving for the United Way in Somerset NJ for the last 3 years  

I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old both for my church CYO team as well as the North Brunswick Travel Team and also for my AAU Basketball Team -  Team Miller Elite for the past 10 years.  Picking the right college is extremely important to me.  I prefer a school with a strong academic program and of course my dream school would have a basketball program with a strong team culture, self motivated athletes and a dedicated and approachable coaching staff.  

I am a 2 year varsity point guard-shooting guard combo with a strong outside shot and high percentage shooter from the key.  I am an aggressive defender and my forte is having a strong court vision, finding the open man to provide the assist when needed.  I am a team player and take a leadership role on the court to continue to work on my skill set to be a complete triple threat on the court.  

I also play on the Franklin Township Girls Travel Softball Team for the last 4 years as well as being a letter winner for the Franklin Girls Softball High School Varsity team where I play both short stop and second base with a .385 batting average.
