Personal Statement
I always have strived to be the best version of myself sense youth. I feel like I have the capability to do anything I want if I push myself hard enough. Ever sense I laid my hands on a volleyball in 6th grade I knew that was what I wanted to do. Every practice, tournament, or touches I can get I use to my benifit to get even better. I work to encourage, lift up, and do whatever is in the best interest for my team. Playing a team sport requires an ability to work as one to reach your end goal. I constantly aim for such ability, to play as a cohesive unit and aim for excellence. This ability to work hard is also shown through academics. I work hard in my classes and find something I'm passionate about in every class. I have taken multiple AP classes in high school because I like a challenge, and to strengthen my knowledge. I have wanted to be a marine biologist and am taking the steps I need to be able to do that, such as getting my scuba certification. One of my goals is to play colligate D1 volleyball, and be able to learn and study ocean life. I will work to that goal everyday.
