Personal Statement

I am a 6'1" 165 lb 16 year-old sophomore Athlete that will be a huge contributor on offense at the receiver position (inside or out) and on defense at cornerback. I aspire to play college football at the D-I level and will work tirelessly to achieve that goal. I am a multi-sport athlete, but decided to forego basketball this off-season to put on weight, improve speed and quickness, and increase strength by working hard in the weight-room and on the track.  I am a high character guy that is being raised in a home with Christian values and parents that stress academics first.  What makes me different and an asset to any program is that I will combine my natural size and athletic ability with my drive to not be outworked! I am somewhat reserved, but not lacking in confidence... as I tend to lead by example. As a sophomore on a senior-laden team that went 13-1 and finished 2nd in the final 5A Division II state rankings in Texas, I was able to contribute with getting significant first team minutes at cornerback.  After putting in work this off season,  and attending 4 or 5 wide receiver/DB camps, I look forward to having a breakout Junior season in all three phases of the game and getting on the radar of recruiters looking for a high character, skilled athlete who will not only be a playmaker, but a difference maker.
