Personal Statement
Hello All:
My name is Patrick Gisclair. I am the starting quarterback for my high school's varsity football team the South Lafourche Fighting Tarpons. I have a passion and competitive spirit for football. Although I play varsity basketball and varsity baseball, my deepest desire is to play football at the collegiate level. My dad and his brother both played college football at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. These two men have all influenced me by giving me guidance about performance on the field as well as how playing football will shape me into becoming a productive member of society.
As the quarterback, I feel that it is my responsibility to be the leader of the team on and off the field; always being mindful that every decision I make will have an impact on my teammates whether positive or negative.
My goal is to be apart of a winning college football program where I can utilize my skills to help the team reach the pinnacle of success- A CHAMPIONSHIP!
Along with wanting to be part of a winning football team, I want to be part of a school that will challenge me academically. Understanding that my football career will end someday, I need to have a college degree that will prepare me for life after football.
I believe that my leadership skills, my competitive spirit, and my drive to win will make me a great asset to a football program.
