Personal Statement

I have always loved the game of football and competing in general. Football has shown me so much. It has instilled values in me that have helped me overcome many life challenges. It has shown me what it's like to be apart of something bigger than myself and how to work efficiently with others. I have been playing football since the 3rd grade, I started my football career in Mexico where I played for three years. My goal is to play at the college level and have a positive impact on the college program that allows me to contribute my skills.

I was not the biggest person on the field but I believe my passion, hard work, and love for the game of football enabled me to play center and defensive line on the high school varsity level starting my sophomore year. Starting football as early as I did helped me build a high degree of confidence in myself when facing opponents that out weighed me. I believe these qualities are important to have in any college program. Acquiring these skills over the last 8 years has helped me mature both as an athlete and individual.

I would like to pursue a major in criminal justice or business. I will work as hard as I can to realize my dream to succeed at the college level. Football is a big part of my family and I know I have their full support when it comes to all my football related goals as well as any other aspirations throughout my life.
