Personal Statement

Football has been my foundation for as long as I can remember. My love to compete is what drives me. Whether it's in the classroom, on the field or on the court,  the desire to win runs through my veins. The game of football has taught me and continues to teach me, how too be mentally and physically tough. I believe that the lessons I have learned through playing sports, particularly football, have prepared me for life's next steps. Dealing with adversity and responding to a loss in football is what strikes something within me to grind to get better everyday. 

As I grow both physically and mentally throughout the rest of high school career, I will continue to develop my competitive spirit, work ethic and most importantly, leadership. Elected captain on every football and basketball team going back to middle school, including my upcoming 2019 varsity football team, my strongest attribute is my ability to lead. I love to help those around me get better . On the field, I am a dynamic player who has a positive influence on my team.

I envision playing collegiate football at a school the aligns with my goals academically. I am interested in pursing an education in broadcast journalism and my goal is to work as a sports broadcaster. I love the game of football and I love and I am looking for a program where I can couple playing the sport I love with getting an education that prepares me for my future.
