Personal Statement

There is nothing greater in life than doing what you love, and having fun while doing it. Like thousands of athletes out there, having a passion in a sport is nothing but disappointing. Experiencing the highs and the lows, the wins and losses, and the pure fun and enjoyment I get from playing my sport, volleyball, makes every single moment of pain and every moment of pure joy I experience on and off the court that much more worth it. I spend most of my time on the courts and I will never say no to a challenge, so the pure competition and skill needed to win a game of volleyball is extremely exciting to me, it fires up my competitive spirit. I have managed to apply my competitive spirit in most aspects of my life such as in school with my high GPA, and anywhere else - even myself - so that I am able to reap the benefits of my hardworking nature. Beyond that, the pure joy I get from playing the sport I love will never, ever disappoint me, no matter where I end up.
