Personal Statement

My name is Percy Cates V and I been playing Football since my Freshman Year for Thea Bowman Leadership Academy! The school is located in Gary, IN and that’s where I’m from. The head Coach for the Eagles is David Nelson! I live with my Grandparents, Mom, Auntie, and little Brother & Sister! I pray that I can be successful in anything I do far as Football. I like to play Football, Box, Make Music, and Draw. Football is my first love so I take it serious! I have respect and much love for the game of Football and I expect to take my talents in College and hopefully the NFL. I understand that education is very important and I want to attend a College to give me a good education! I want to major in Business when I get to College! My primary position in Football is  Offensive Guard and my secondary position is Defensive End! I played a little Linebacker my Sophomore year but my Coach moved me to Offensive Guard because we didn’t have a lot of players and that’s how it been for the past 3 years! When I get to College I want to play Linebacker or Fullback because I love to hit and I know I can run hard and gain yardage when needed in games! I’m a good player and definitely have the aggression to play at the next level. I have little features I may need to work on and may need help with when I get to College but all of that will fall in place. I make descent grades, I make mostly C’s and B’s but I’m not very good in the classroom. I’m  a slow learner and I will need a tutor for when I get to College. I want to make sure I graduated knowing I tried and put the work in. In practice I’m a hard worker and leader and take everything serious at practice.
