Personal Statement
Athletics is a part of my identity but does not define me. I could never deny the life skills that I have learned from my family, teammates, and coaches. I continue to grow each and every day as an individual and a player. I have learned that talent and natural ability will help you achieve your goals, but you also have to be motivated and a burning desire to be successful.
I am a very talented and hardworking student athlete. Each and every day I try to be the best student in the classroom and on the field. I lead by example and will never ask a teammate to do anything that I would not put myself in first. I have a strong desire to continue my education at a strong academic university or college. I would like to play Division I football but am open to other levels as long as the athletic and academic standards are competitive and prestigious. My goal is to explore a business or education major that will position me to succeed beyond football.
I envision my college years to be a personal growth period physically and mentally. I strive to be an asset to my team and coaches so that we can reach our team goals as well as my personal achievements. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, and the school I attend.
