Personal Statement
I have found that I am more focused and passionate about life when I am involved in a team sport. I enjoy working with other people to accomplish a goal. I attended a all sports camp in Wisconsin for 8 years where our philosophy was I'm Third. This meant God first, others second and I am third. This is an idea that I have taken with me when I play sports. I have grown and developed myself throughout the years of playing football. Football has taught me from a young age what the value of teamwork is. This has helped me become a better student-athlete and stride to become a leader on and off the football field. I have been a captain on my high school football team for the last two years because of my positive attitude towards the game.
I learned hardship, commitment, sacrifice, and F.A.M.I.L.Y, from being a captain. F.A.M.I.L.Y is a concept my football team goes by, as well as me. Its meaning is Forget About Me I Love You. These skills that I have developed have made me a successful and prepared D tackle and Center. These skills will be able to propel me through the next level of being a student-athlete. I am looking for a well rounded program where I could use and enhance my skills and talents and be part of a team culture. I think I have the talent, characteristics and work ethic to impact your program. As a three sport athlete I have learned a lot about being a team leader. My drive and influential glare on other people to do the right thing can also benefit your program. I have what it takes to be apart of you.
