Personal Statement

Dear Prospective Coach,

     I am a senior wide receiver starting on varsity at Crystal Lake Central High School, as well as a receiver on The Midwest Boom National 7V7 Team. I currently have a cumulative GPA of 4.6/4.0 and am taking all advanced placement (AP) and Honors classes. I believe that my high academic ability and drive to always continue to learn sets me apart from other recruits. I look forward to taking as many AP, honors, and extracurricular classes throughout my high school years along with leadership roles in the National Honor Society, student council, Legacy Club, and representing my grade in our Student Leadership committee, as well as doing extensive 1:1 training to be the best athlete I can be.

     I am highly self-motivated to do whatever it takes to play at the collegiate level of football as it has always been a goal of mine. I am willing to go the extra mile in order to succeed in everything I do because of my highly competitive personality. With my strive to continue to improve, I am constantly working out and training to improve my build, strength, speed, agility, and skills both on and off the field.

     I would like to go to a school that is able to challenge me both in the classroom and on the field with an atmosphere of people who will encourage me to be better in everything I do. I am open to a variety of schools, but my preference would be to a highly selective school with not only an outstanding football program but a high academic program that can provide me with the skills and education I need in order to carry out the rest of my life, away from the field.
