Personal Statement
I am not certain exactly what I want to study in college yet, but I love the sport of basketball and think I'd enjoy coaching, sports management or maybe sports medicine. I'm open to any colleges right now, until I figure out what I want to study.
I run cross country in school, to stay in shape for basketball and currently have a sub-7-minute mile. I am working to get this down to 6 minutes flat. I do resistance training using bands and weight training using kettle bells. I also use jump shoes, a 20lb weight vest and jump rope to work on my vertical.
I enjoy archery and compete in the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) at my school. I think archery exercises your body and your mind. It works your core and your arms with repetition. It is calming and the concentration and focus are good for your mind.
Additional Sports
- Cross Country3 years experienceClub/Travel TeamI run Cross Country to stay fit for Basketball Season. I run year round, but train the hardest between the first of summer and September, after the XC competition season wraps up. My best mile was 6m34s and my best 2-mile was 15m11s

Training
- Core and Resistance Training3 years experienceI have been doing core and resistance training for about three years now. I do this first think in the morning, nearly every morning, including mornings before school and even before Cross Country and Archery practice and meets. Additionally, my practices for Archery and Cross Country contribute to my Core and Resistance Training. These two sports total up to nearly year-long conditioning.
