Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Emmanuel Compton.  I will graduate high school in 2028.  I played soccer for Birmingham AFC on the top 1% team in Alabama for the last three years as a Center Midfielder and Defender.  I have also played on my middle school football team as Wide Receiver and Safety.   Last year, I was named 2023 Metro Player of the Year in football.  

This year, I made the JV and the Varsity football teams at my high school.  I play DB and on Special Teams on the varsity team and as WR and Safety/CB on JV. I am also on the high school soccer team and look to try out for the track team this year.  I would be a valuable addition to your team at the collegiate level because my hard work ethic on the field and my lack of fear defending the ball, my speed and my desire to see the team win above all else.  My years playing soccer give me an edge with footwork and track will only help to increase my already quick speed.  

I am coachable, eager to learn, and a team player.  My success is only as good as the team's success.  My values outside of the field help me succeed because I have been taught the importance of team work and care for others above myself.
