Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

             I‘ve been playing football since I was 12 years old, but have always had a passion for football since I was 5 and to play at the collegiate level. Playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my life as my dream is to play in the NFL. I am always working to improve my skills as well as training to get bigger, faster and stronger. By being team captain 2 years in a row, this has sharpened me into being the team leader that I am today by giving assistance to my teammates for them to improve their performance on and off the field, including in the classroom. I always put my education first and strive to be the best that I can be by giving 100% in the classroom. By doing this, I can continue to achieve my A/B honor roll status since elementary school which will help me with being an excellent candidate for the team. In addition, I take constructive criticism and apply my coaches feedback during games by voluntarily watching game films after practice, asking questions, and taking accountability for my mistakes. This has caused me to be very coachable and one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I want to attend a college where I can challenge myself in the classroom and on the football field as I am a versatile athlete that has played all skilled positions. By being the athlete that I am, I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all of my peers and make my parents proud.
