Personal Statement
My name is Charlie Pendergraph. I’m 15 years old and part of the 2028 class. I’ve been playing softball since I was 11 and currently play for Impact Caymol Premier, a highly competitive national-level team. My primary positions are catcher, third base, and first base, and I take a lot of pride in being a strong, vocal leader on the field.
I’ve always loved the mental side of the game. I try to stay a step ahead, help manage the pace of play, and bring energy to every inning. I’m constantly working to improve, whether it’s through weight training, reps behind the plate, or working on my swing. Hitting is something I’ve really focused on this year.
This summer I’ll be competing in some of the biggest tournaments in the country, including the Top Gun Invitational, Colorado Sparkler (14U Power Pool), the Legacy Invitational, and PGF Nationals in Huntington Beach. I’m excited for the chance to play against top competition and continue growing as a player.
Academically, I’m an honor roll student and plan to major in business in college. I also volunteer at Miracle Park, where I help coach athletes with special needs. I’m looking for a college where I can be challenged in the classroom and on the field — a place that will push me to be my best. I’m very coachable, love being part of a team, and I take pride in working hard at everything I do.
