Personal Statement

 My Name is David Tapia-Vargas, but you can just call me AJ I play Varsity Football for my school, Cornerstone Christian School. This 2024 season we won the state championship. I've learned a lot from football, It's taught me never to give up, to have confidence, and to believe in myself. Reminding me that the team is like a machine, we must all work for us to win and achieve success, and most importantly put my teammates first. 

I play Defense and offense, On offense I can be used as a Fullback carrying and receiving for short yard plays or block for the Halfback. I mainly focus on power and ball security, making sure that I hold on to the ball and carry it to the end zone. 

I aspire to play Division 1 football, but I know that with hard work and humility, I can achieve them. My father always taught me that what you can imagine, you can do. If you put your mind to it, it will be done. People doubt you because of the potential they see; it scares them, I learned that the hard way. 

 Without a doubt, I am a hardworking, overachieving, respectful young man. I will not let you down on and off the field, you will not be disappointed. I will block till' the whistle is BLOWN! I love this sport and it means everything to me. I put my blood sweat and tears into my craft, and I will never let anyone take it away from me.

I currently Hold several academic Honor and awards for keeping academic prowess. I also hold the Lineman of the Tear award and won 1st Team All-league.

 I am one of the most hardworking, respectful young men you can ever coach, just blow the whistle coach, and expect greatness.
