Personal Statement

My name is Jamal Ware and I’ve been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. I feel I will make a great player for your team because I’m a team player, coachable, and competitive. 

The things that sets me apart from other recruits is my passion and ability for the game. My ability to make plays for my other teammates and myself is one of my best abilities. An example of me making plays for my teammates is when I drive a gap and the defense closes in and I kick it immediately to an open shooter and trust that they’ll hit the shot. I’m also a great player for your team because on top of being a great athlete, I have a 3.7 GPA and I understand how important it is balancing academics and athletics. I‘m also an all around player, while taking pride in defense making sure I’m putting in the work day in and day out to become the best player I can be.
