Personal Statement

I’m Elijah Conley, Class of 2027 OLB from Troy Buchanan High School (MO). I’m a physical, high-motor linebacker who loves contact, studies film, and takes pride in doing my job setting the edge, chasing down plays, and flying down on special teams.

As a junior I earned 2nd Team All-Conference (OLB) and All-Academic Team honors. I had a UCL thumb injury that required surgery, but I’m cleared to start PT and lifting and I’m fully committed to coming back stronger for my senior season. I treat rehab like another part of my training.

I’m looking for a college program that values tough, coachable players who work hard in the classroom, the film room, and the weight room. I want to contribute early on special teams, keep developing at linebacker, and help a program chase championships while staying grounded and grateful for the opportunity to play this game.
