Personal Statement

My name is Darrick Franklin ll, I am an athlete with aspirations to play college football at good university and go pro one day. I started my high school journey at Lausanne Colligate School in Memphis playing behind current FSU starting quarterback Brock Glenn. I finished the year with 5 catches and 44 all-purpose yards at receiver and a couple of throws with a few completions. Although I had a great year, I kept wanting to get better. I unfortunately suffered a season stopping injury going into my sophomore year breaking my left tibia and tearing my meniscus partially. With the grace of God and being hungry to have a breakout year I recovered four months early and just in time to play 7v7. I played with Cheetah University for my sophomore post season. I then transferred out of Lausanne to go play DIIAAA at Christian Brothers in Memphis. I played a couple of games with good stats, but the school just wasn't for me, so I transfer this recent semester and currently at St. Benedict at Auburndale for the rest of the semester and have planned to finish out my high school career at St. George's Independence School. I currently hold a 4.28 gpa and take the ACT February 8th, 2025. I weigh in at 160 pounds and just about 5 foot 8 1/2 inches. I mostly play quarterback but, on my 7's circuit I play slot receiver.
