Personal Statement

Playing soccer has always empowered me to be of strong body and mind. I have a reserved personality, but when I play soccer, I feel this overwhelming confidence that drives me to do more. As a captain on my team, I strive to be supportive and encouraging so that I may have a good influence on my team/teamates. I role model the behaviors of respect and integrity to prove to my team that I am committed and dedicated. I communicate well on and off the field, and ensure we remain inclusive as a team. Everyone matters! I strive to use my mistakes to help me, instead of getting mad at my teamates or beating myself up about it. I work outside of my club to train on my speed, agility, and ball skills. I work hard to make good grades in school and will seek tutoring when needed. Lastly, my family is very important to me as they have shown true dedication to help me reach my goal of eventually playing soccer at the collegiate level.
