Personal Statement

I want to be the best pitcher on the best team. I know if I pitch the best, my team can win a national championship. I have current goals to take me to the next level. My first goal is to able to make the varsity team as a 9th grader. As an underclassman I can push the upperclassman in practice to make them a championship caliber team.

I've spent the last ten years trying to become a complete player. I've learned that I have to bring leadership, playmaking, and game control. I love having the ability to take control as a pitcher. Im not just a thrower, but a pitcher that can be brought in whenever my coach needs me. I take it as a compliment that my coaches said we can always bring me in during the hardest situations. Finally I will outwork anyone. This offseason I workout twice a week with a strength coach, throw with a pitching coach twice a week, all while wrestling on the highschool team. This ensures I am physically and mentally tough.

The difference I have from others would be my leadership and ability in the classroom. I'm constantly thinking about how to get this person out not just by throwing the ball by him.  I have a 4.0 GPA currently while taking honors classes, and on my practice SAT I was in the 98th percentile of my state in math. I am currently in my second semester of High School and am excited for baseball to start.
