Personal Statement

I fell in love with football at a young age from the brotherhood it builds, the discipline it has taught me and its requirement of both physical and mental excellence. We all know this isn't like any other sport and I truly have a passion for it. I live for the fire going through my veins on game day and finally getting to battle it out against an opponent after preparing all week at practice. I push myself on and off the field training and striving to get better, gaining all I can and giving all I have until others tell me to slow down. I am experienced in many different positions on both sides of the ball and get anything done when I am told to. I am able to read the field with haste, react fast and make big plays. My freshman year I got pulled up to varsity from JV during playoffs but didn't start until my next year where I tragically faced an injury in my knee resulting in me only starting/playing in one game. After PT I was able to make it back for playoffs with limited field time and able to go on to basketball and later track. There are many fields of interest that I have in college and academically I have maintained a 4.0 GPA since 8th grade, been ranked top 10 in my class and received many academic awards. I can promise that I will bring lots of knowledge, heart, leadership and create a more competitive environment to whatever team I play for, and I will do whatever it takes to outwork the guy next to me.
