Personal Statement

My name is Elena Robertson. Softball has taught me many things over the years, but the most powerful message it has taught me is perseverance. At the age of 10, I had a hip surgery that had the potential to end my softball career. After a year of physical therapy, I was able to return to playing softball with a stronger passion and love for the game.  With the support of my family, I have learned to never give up even amid adversity. This makes me a fierce competitor both on the field and in the classroom. My goals for my future are to play softball in college and to study Physical Therapy. My passion for softball has caused me to be stronger both mentally and physically. Thank you for your consideration.
