Personal Statement

I have been an athlete since the age of 5. From basketball, to soccer, baseball and football, I have always loved sports. I come from an athletic family background, with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents and older sibling playing at the collegiate level.  As an athlete, my parents have always instilled in me that just being a good athlete won't get you as far as you want to go.  You must be coachable, respectful, respectable, and humble.  I am all of those things. When I first started playing football, I wasn't great. I didn't know that I wasn't great though.  It took a coach from an opposing team telling my coach at the time, and my parents, that I wasn't playing the right position. I was capable of doing so much more. I didn't realize what I was capable of doing on the field, until that coach unlocked my potential.  From that point forward, I played running back, corner, safety, wide receiver and even quarterback. My love for this game is unmatched, and it would mean the world to me to play at the collegiate level where the greatest athletes have been recognized, even able to move on to the next level thereafter. It means more than anyone knows to be able to play at that level.  I am a hard worker, not afraid of constructive criticism, dedicated, devoted and humble all in the same breath.
