Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Isaiah. I am a dual sport athlete (football, track) at Rockcastle Co High School.  I’m a 3 year Class 3A All District Team player, Louisville Courier Journal - Honorable Mention All-State DB, and 3 year varsity starter on both sides of the ball at RCHS. I currently play for 3 7v7 travel teams: Indy Select South, 270 Made and KY Elite/Corbin KY team. I previously played on 7v7 team, Next Up. 

I attended the FBU camp in Nashville, TN on April 13, 2024 and earned a ticket to FBU Top Gun event held in Naples, FL. I also earned an invite to UA Next combine held April 14, 2024 in Nashville. In June 2024, at the FBU Top Gun Showcase in Naples, FL, I made the 2026 All Camp Offense Team and earned an invite to the FBU Navy National Combine to be held in TX.

At the Navy National Combine held on Jan 10, 2025, I was selected as Honorable Mention-Running Back. I also placed 2nd in RB Speed at 20.54 mph. I promise you, I’m faster. I was still tight after riding 18 hrs in back of vehicle from KY to TX.  My fastest documented laser time is 21.5799 mph at UK football camp on 6/6/23.  My fasted 40 was hand time, 4.48, at EKU football camp in June 2024. 

In 2022, I started for our RCHS Freshman and JV basketball teams and sometimes played in varsity games. I run track at RCHS. I made the high school relay team my 8th grade year. I compete in several events like the 100, 200 meter dash, long jump and the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. Both of my high school boys relay teams set new school records for RCHS and we qualified for the Class 2A State Championships by winning Regionals in the 4x200 the last 2 years. At 2024 State Championships, we came in 5th place and set a new RCHS Boys 4x200 relay record.
During the off season, I lift weights before school at our local gym. After school, I lift at RCHS with my football teammates and/or practice for track. I also lift during school in my weightlifting class. One to two days a week, I travel to Louisville to train at Corey Taylor Sports Performance under Coach Taylor for speed and agility training.
For the past 3 summers, besides football practice and playing summer basketball with my prior RCHS basketball teammates, I‘ve had a part time job working in landscaping and construction.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, golfing and kayaking.

An interesting fact about me is, after almost 5 years in foster care, I was adopted in March 2023. My adoptive parents were my foster parents for almost 4 years. I feel so blessed to have them in my life and officially family. 

My future plans are to attend and graduate college while playing college football. After that, I want to play in the NFL. Yes, I know my dreams are big but with God’s continued guidance in my life, hard work, dedication and the love and support of my family, I believe anything is possible!
