Personal Statement

Hi Coaches.

Hope everyone is doing well. If you have a season, be glad, if not reflect on the past and look forward to the future.

Maybe I start and tell you a little bit more about myself.

I believe that a team grows together in their minds first. I believe whatever goal I have always comes second to the team goal.

A team has to become a “band of sisters” first. If we work together on that then we already won, maybe not on the scoreboard yet, but this will follow eventually.

I am a person of character, I lead by example, the first on the ice and the last to get off. Because of that our team picked me to be a captain.

I don’t engage in drama, I am a calm person and team members do appreciate my personal advice, younger and older players.

I can promise you that my leadership and dedication will make an impact to the team.

I am a female goaltender who will graduate in the year 2021. I go to Armstrong High School in Plymouth, Minnesota where I play for the Armstrong Cooper Wings as the starting varsity goalie

Since elementary school, Mathematics and Engineering (STEM School) has always been my passion, so I am looking for a strong Chemistry major program as well as an energetic women's hockey program that will help me pursue my goals and dreams.

I have a 3.678 GPA and with the personal ambition needed to manage college hockey and intense academic demands.  I was also a successful career gymnast for 15 years, where I learned discipline, focus and determination. Gymnastics is probably the best sport to develop strengths and flexibility needed for being a hockey goalie. Because I love participating with a team, I left gymnastics to focus solely on hockey. It is a strong desire for me to continue my hockey career after high school.
