Irmo 62, Lexington 46 The Yellow Jackets of Irmo came away with a AAAA Region V win Tuesday night, defeating Lexington 62-46. Irmo moves to 14-3 on the year with the victory, while Lexington drops to 7-10. Sophomore point guard Devontae Shuler had a big night for Irmo, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds, four assists and six steals. Irmo junior combo guard Ta'Vonne Bond ended his night with 14 points, 6 assist and five rebounds, and senior post player Chris Boyd scored eight points and hauled in three rebounds.

Irmo 57, White Knoll 39 The No. 6 Irmo Yellow Jackets and No. 10 White Knoll Timberwolves of met on the hardwood Tuesday night in a Class AAA Region V battle that saw Irmo take a 57-39 victory. Irmo now moves to 12-4 on the season, while the loss drops White Knoll to 11-5 on the year. The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore point guard Devontae Shuler and his 18 points and seven rebounds. Junior combo guard Tavonne Bond ended his night with 12 points, 6 assist, 4 rebounds, nine of those points coming from three-point land. Sophomore post player RJ Gunn came in with nine points for Irmo, and junior wing player Dre’von Sweat ended his night with eight points.

My name is Ta’Vonne Bond, from Columbia, South Carolina, I would like to thank my father Ervin Bond, Coach Tim  Whipple, Coach Branham Daniels, Coach Ricky Bouknight, Coach Antonio Brown and my teammates at Irmo High School Basketball program for their dedication and commitment to me, I will be attending and playing basketball at Virginia Military Institute as part of the class of 2021.
