Personal Statement
I started skating when I was 4 years old. During my skating lessons, I'd always see the kids at the other end of the ice playing hockey. I immediately wanted to try it and I've loved it ever since. I've been playing travel hockey since I was 9, and from then on I've had dreams of playing collegiate hockey. To play hockey in college would be an amazing opportunity that would change my life.
I'm always working to improve my skills through every practice and game. I find new ways to get better at my sport while being a team leader and encouraging others to keep improving.
At school, I study hard and keep my GPA high. I've received several awards regarding academics, and have maintained good relationships with my teachers. I also march for the Hebron High School Band, which requires a great work ethic and a team-first attitude.
Overall, I'm looking for a program that will challenge me on and off the ice. I'm open to anything as I want to find the right match for me and compete at the highest level possible. I hope to become an role model and inspiration for others and to make my parents proud.
