Personal Statement

I’m an athlete in the Class of 2019. I like to challenge myself both academically and in every way athletically. I’ve started on Boulder City High School’s varsity football team since I was a Sophomore. I believe competing against the higher competition has pushed me to be my best every time I step onto the field. Working hard for my team, as well as myself and my town is an absolute passion of mine. Sophomore year I was awarded “Defensive Player of the Year” ( by my coaching staff), which came after my love for hitting. Junior year I was awarded “Offensive Player of the Year”, after finishing the year with my physical and explosive running style. I strive to keep improving on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

As for academics, I am an Honor Roll student, completing both AP and Honor classes. A proud achievement of mine is earning the “American Legion Award”, which is awarded for leadership skills, bravery, and being an excellent citizen.I like to challenge myself in the classroom every chance I get. Working with my brightest peers, in all of my classes, has allowed me to grow intellectually. My studies are just as important to me as my athletics are, I take both seriously.

My goal, during my senior year, is to be the absolute best football player and student I can be. Earning an athletic scholarship for football has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and I look forward to achieving this goal. I know I have the experience, drive, discipline, and commitment to excel both athletically and in the classroom. I am excited to earn the opportunity to play for a team where I fit in and am able to use my athletic skills to better their program, as well as earn a great education.
