Personal Statement

My name is Jalen Pearson, I am a senior at Chapman High School for the class of 2019. I am 6 foot tall and 185 pounds. I play WR/S positions. I have been playing the sport of football since I was 7 years old. I have experience in several positions such as running back and linebacker.

I have always been a multi-sport athlete. I currently play football, basketball, and track for my high school. The past three years I have competed in AAU basketball leagues, I enjoy the higher level of competition that it brings. My freshman year I was moved from running back to wide receiver. My first year in my new position I received the best hands award for wide receivers. Football has taught me what it takes to succeed no matter what position I am in.

I have a very strong work ethic and commitment to this game I love. On top of my long workouts and late practices throughout the week, on my time off I continue to work hard to improve my skill set. I attend personal training sessions and work on speed, acceleration, and agility drills at a sports velocity center to help me preform at my highest level. Football has helped to build my character on and off the field. I am very excited about my future in this sport and where the game can take me.
