Personal Statement

My goals are big! I am 16 years old and am dedicated to being a good person first, full of Faith Hope and Love. My college goals are to contribute in the classroom and for our baseball team. The goal of gaining a college education and playing baseball is what I am preparing for everyday. I am dedicated to my studies now and am working hard to better myself to be attractive to a college. If I am chosen by a college, they will have my loyalty and love. Loyalty to my studies and love for my teammates / classmates. Teachers will see a student eager to learn. Coaches will see a player who loves the game and is the hardest worker on and off the field. My passion for baseball started in card shops, spring training games, in the backyard with my dad, and now I love the grind. I love the mental strength it takes as the hard is what makes the game beautiful. My parents have taught me nothing is given, everything is earned. I hope to earn the right to represent a college proudly. I smile, a lot. I love life and the game of baseball! It would be my honor to represent your team :-).

Training

  • Private Hitting Lessons
    6 years experience
I am a work in progress, always will be, but I absolutely love hitting. I love the mechanics and dedication it takes to hit well in games. I have also learned through the Bullet Proof Hitter to be mentally strong and visualize a successful at bat. I love the mechanics and and timing it takes to win an at bat. Whether its moving a runner over for the team, or smashing a double to score a run. I love it all and am building a swing that utilizes all parts of the field.
  • Private Feilding Coach
    6 years experience
I am fortunate enough and very grateful for my coaches. My fielding coach is one of the Midland Bulls 17U Showcase coach and is teaching me like the big boys. Coach Hughes holds me to a high standard and it makes me better in many ways. I am learning the SS position and have skills and drills tests every session. I work with him once a week and then practice what I've learned with him in team practices and in my personal practices. I hope I make you proud coach Hughes :-)
  • Private Pitching Lessons
    5 years experience
I am working hard at becoming a better pitcher. There is much room for growth as I'm new to throwing a curveball, follow through is key for me with that pitch. Driving with my legs with proper mechanics is my goal. I use my hitting mind to keep batters on their heels. I like to use the top part of the zone and watch my infielders/outfielder collect pop flies. Moving to 14U has been an adjustment as it's now 60'6", instead of blowing my fastball by them like in the past, now I need to mix it up and be more strategic. I believe the velocity will come with improved strength and proper mechanics and a lot of work. I love pitching!
