Personal Statement

June 2025:

Completed my Junior Year with a perfect 4.0 / 4.54 weighted GPA in junior college and AP courses. I was proud to be selected by Charlotte FC to play in the Carolina Soccer Honors Showcase on June 6th, featuring some of the best HS players in SC+NC...what a great match! Spending my summer training in the Charlotte Independence collegiate players sessions and attending several college ID camps and touring schools. Also starting to get geared up for the upcoming MLS Next season. Really appreciate all of the coaches who have reached out, texted, and provided feedback on my playing potential at the next level. My recruitment process remains open and I look forward to finding the right fit academically and athletically.     

April 2025:

Excited to be selected to the 2025-26 MLS Next Academy for the Charlotte Independence! Will be finishing up our ECNL regular season in the coming weeks with a run at making the ENCL national playoffs in July. I am attending College ID camps and exploring more for the spring/summer months to find the right fit academically and athletically and look forward to showing off my versatility across the field. Thx to all the coaches who have reached out and I look forward to continuing my journey to play at the collegiate level!     

December 2024 Update

We made a great run to compete for a NC 4A State Championship on 11/23/2024 but fell 3-2 to take runner up honors with a great group of guys at Marvin Ridge HS! It's been an awesome Junior season were we finished 19-5-2. I've doubled up this fall by playing HS and ECNL U17 with the Charlotte Independence National team. I've kept up my 4.44 GPA while taking 2 college courses with a nomination to the National Honor Society.  Looking forward to recruiting conversations, ID camps, and school visits this winter and spring. Recently loaded some Fall ECNL and HS highlights.        

July 2024 Update

Exact Sports Southeast Academic 50 ID Camp 4.5 / 5 star evaluation from Coach DeGannes from Brown University. "Great attitude and a pleasure to work with at camp. Andrew brings energy to every session. His knowledge of the game and work ethic stand out. His awareness on the field and technical skills help him create opportunities for teammates. As a 2026 grad, he still has time to develop physically and has the potential to become and elite player. He has a bright soccer career ahead of him." June 2024 Update:

Thank you to all the coaches who have reached out and I look forward to additional conversations starting June 15+. I finished my Sophomore year with all A's again and raised my weighted GPA to 4.44. Completed a solid U16 ECNL season with a 11-11-5 record in a tough Mid-Atlantic conference that placed 7 teams into the national playoffs, unfortunately we just missed making the cut. We had a lot of injuries which allowed me to play significant minutes at Forward and Midfield positions and look forward to summer training to stay sharp and improve. I attended the Charlotte FC College Combine & ID Camp in May and ran a solid 40-yard (4.74s laser), 5-10-5 (R4.34s / L4.47s), Broad Jump (78.5”), Vertical (23.6”). This summer I will be attending the Exact Sport Academic 50 ID camp July 6-8 and have several camps pending scheduling. More video highlights are coming!

February 2024 Update:

Kicked off my U16 ECNL regular season in the Mid-Atlantic Conference with a 2-0-1 record. Looking forward to some tough league play and competing at the Jefferson Cup (March 22-24) and ECNL VA showcase (May 24-26). I finished my first semester of my Sophomore year with "straight A's" in Honors courses and have a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.375. I appreciate the feedback from all the 20+ college coaches who attended the CSA College ID camp in mid-December and look forward to attending several more ID camps this spring if my ECNL schedule opens up. Also looking at summer ID camp options.

December 2023 Update:

Completed a successful Varsity Sophomore year with a 11-9 record, ending in the NCHSAA 4A large school state playoffs. Started up my club season at Charlotte Soccer Academy (U16 ECNL National) and recently competed in the ECNL SC Showcase in Greer, SC and the NCFC Showcase in Raleigh. Looking forward to several college ID camps and enjoying the on-going feedback from interested college coaches. Will start up 2024 with our Mid-Atlantic Conference full-schedule ECNL season.

Summer 2023 Update:

Competed at the Charlotte Soccer Academy College ID Camp on July 8th with 17 colleges in attendance including: D1 – Virginia Tech, East Tennessee State, USC Upstate, Radford, Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Queens Univ. D2 – Wingate, Univ. of Alabama Huntsville, Flagler, Mars Hill Univ., Mount Olive. D3 – Johnson & Wales, Rhodes, Ferrum, Pfeiffer, Lynchburg.

Competed at the Exact Sports College ID Camp in Charlotte on June 4th and received a 4.5 / 5 star rating from Coach Jessie Diluzio of Davidson College (D1). Evaluation Link: https://mycamp.exactsports.com/pr_share/86129/99571ee7-7b3c-4f42-8d81-660ad54b7428 .

Competed in the U15 ECNL National Playoffs in Greensboro, NC where we we ended with 0 wins, 0 losses, and 3 ties against #8 Oklahoma Energy, #19 Nationals SC (Detroit), and #21 ST Louis SC. Season completed with 44 club and 18 HS games (62 total).

Completed my HS Freshman Year with straight A's and a weighted 4.375 GPA, with high honors in a AP / Honors curriculum.

Spring 2023 Update: 

Officially earned my Eagle Scout designation on May 8, 2023 after 10 years of commitment to the Boy Scouts of America. A great accomplishment with lots of support from family, friends, mentors, and coaches.

Competed in over 20 ECNL and Elite 64 matches, including a trip to the Jefferson Cup Championship bracket where we beat the team that eventually won the tournament title. In June we're off to the ECNL National Playoffs where we look to make another deep run.

Fall 2022 Update:

Selection to the U14 FC Barcelona World Cup in Barcelona, Spain from April 8-18, 2022 with Barca Academy Charlotte scoring 6 goals over 5 matches against international competition from Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Hungary. I am highly competitive and versatile with 8+ years of experience, competing at the ECNL / DA / NPL club level and selected to the 2022 NC ODP program.

Competed in 37 matches: 19 matches with the Charlotte Soccer Academy U15 ECNL National Academy and USYS National League Elite 64 squads, along with 18 matches (double duty) with the Marvin Ridge HS (JV Freshman starter) where we finished our season 11-4-3, competing in the large-school NC 4A division.
