Personal Statement

I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I love this sport and the opportunities, friendships, and the experiences it has provided me. I hope to continue learning and growing through high school and hopefully playing throughout college as well. 

I am a utility player and go where my team needs me, but feel my biggest strength is organizing the team through the middle of the field as an AM or DM.  I have a high soccer IQ and strive to be a leader both on and off the field and lead by example as well as being a strong vocal presence during play.  I give 100% and am coachable at every training and game.

I also work very hard at being the best student I can be as well. I take the most challenging classes possible and achieve high grades. I am also a volunteer for TOPSoccer, I am a peer mentor working with special needs kids, and I am a team manager for the girl's basketball team. I volunteered for 210 hours of community service during my freshmen year.

I hope that my love of the sport, my desire to learn on and off the field, and my experiences through volunteering as well as my supportive family will make me a successful college student and a student-athlete.
