Personal Statement
My name is Amber Zver, and I am an outspoken DS that shows leadership, passion, adaptability, commitment, and a hard work ethic on and off the court. I have been passionate about volleyball ever since the second grade, and soon found it to be the sport I can forget all about my worries in. Volleyball to me embodies a blend of teamwork, strategy, and exhilarating moments. As you observe me on the court, you will make notice of my communication skills, my positive energy towards the team, my ability to go for any ball, and my court awareness. I consider myself a motivational, dedicated, coachable, and smart player. I play as a 6-rotational DS/OH in club/high school season, but am looking to be a DS/L in college.
I desire to attend a college where I feel at home. This is essential to me because I feel that my college experience should be unforgettable, and it is something I want look back at for all of my future years. I want to be a role model figure to younger kids to show that anything is possible if you just put your mind to it.
I am very serious about my academics. Ever since I was a little kid, my parents have stressed to me that academics would be very important in the long run. I am determined to get good grades and a high GPA, which shows through the award I have received ever since my freshman year of high school, Honor Roll.
