Personal Statement

 

I have several personal academic and lifetime aspirations that I think can be achieved by attaining quality collegiate education. My collegiate goals and aspirations are inspired by my desire to get quality education alongside my sporting career aspirations and secondly, my parents academic and professional journeys and achievements have immensely motivated me. I have seen my parents build our family life through hard work, academic and professional achievements from Liberia to many places in Africa, Asia, Europe and America working various international organizations and institutions.  They have instilled the culture of humility, respect and hard work in my upbringing. Those values are going to be my guiding principles as I jointly pursue my academic and footballing aspirations.

Firstly, I want to enroll in an academic program that will ensure that I acquire quality education studying. (……. ask Musa to tell you what he wants to become outside of being a football player). I want to be in the position to compete with other students academically to prepare myself for a life time journey that will ensure that the decisions am going to be making for life are the outcomes of deep and thorough though process, my athletic and sporting decisions will be measured and calculated and in most cases strategic.

I consider myself to be a better fit for their team and footballing programme because am a hard worker off and on the field, discipline, committed, loyal, respectful and very motivated students with the right family values and academic foundation. I have the ability find a balance between my academic and footballing aspirations and I think this school has all the right resources for me to excel.

My athleticism, my ability to play from the backfield, my strong arms that allow me to throw the ball over the secondary defense line, my growing height (5”10 now and still growing), my vision to quickly see my offense teammates, my composure and my footballing intelligence that helps my decision making are some of the reasons that I think make better than other recruits.

Academically, am a fast learner with vast potential to becoming an honor student. I have the ability to identify my weakness and ability that uniquely puts me in the position to succeed.
