Personal Statement

Baseball has always been my favorite sport. My fondest baseball memory was in Cooperstown, throwing a complete game shutout, leading my team to victory in an elimination game. I have been playing since I was 5 years old. I am a determined competitor who doesn't get rattled. I have worked hard to develop a good command of 4 pitches and love fighting my way through high pressure situations. I am logical on the mound and use my baseball IQ to miss barrels or pitch to contact, relying on my teammates to make plays behind me.

In college I would like to discover a major that suits my strengths and aligns with my ever-evolving interests. 

I’m looking for a program that values what I bring to the table- both as a person and as a player. I am a quiet leader who thrives on constructive criticism, determined to immediately adapt and apply what I’m shown.  I have the work ethic, athleticism, and smarts to make a positive impact on my teammates and your program as a whole.
