Personal Statement

Most of my life has revolved around football. I have played since I was 4 years old. I consider it my greatest passion in life. My father played for a long time and even made it to semi-pro. Because my dad always loved the sport, he signed me up just as soon as I was old enough. I immediately fell in love with the game. 

 I do my best to BE my best... both on the field and in the classroom. I do have hopes of playing football until I'm physically unable to anymore.  Although this is the case, I also care about my skills in the classroom. If my first passion doesn't pan out, I want to make sure that I have learned enough other skills to still be successful. I like to think I am intelligent, and my grades reflect that. I plan to keep it that way for as long as I'm in school and then some.

In the many years I have played football, I have been overlooked from time to time simply because the positions I play are typically not filled by people that look like I do. Even so, it has never affected my drive or love for the game. I know that if I play as skillfully as I can, then I will be a success. I am very driven and passionate. I know I will never fail if I give my all. I don't need to succeed for anyone except myself. It's not just about being confident; it's more about proving to myself that I am talented. I am proud of who I am and what I've done to become ME.
