Personal Statement

Greetings. I am currently a fast and furious eighth grader with top notch speed and agility skills. I have a competitive nature and winning instincts that were nurtured in me by my three older sisters who were also athletes. I learned the hard way.

On the field, I am a playmaker and game changer, and I have proven capabilities to defend against the best. As my mom would say, “I’m going to make something happen.” I believe that I am only as good as my teammates. I use that knowledge as motivation to encourage others to step their game up and present the best versions of themselves collectively and individually. With that, I am committed to preparing and improving; I put in numerous hours of training outside of coach-led practices, and I prioritize taking care of my body.

Off the field, I live up to our family expectations of being a student athlete; academics come first. I strive to lead my peers through modeling academic excellence and demonstrating character that makes my family, coaches, teammates, and community proud.

I am excited about what lies ahead and am ready to put in the work needed, and as a three-sport athlete, I know what it takes to be a champion in the game and outside of the game. My mother raised a gator.
