Personal Statement
I come from a family who has always pushed me to work hard and never be afraid to fail. Since my first year of school, I have made every effort to learn and maintain a high GPA. My tenacity and strong work ethic paid off and set me apart from most of my peers. When I realized my passion for football in eighth grade, I decided to put in the effort I knew it would take to achieve my goal of playing college football. As a team captain, I have learned to lead by example and aspire to have a positive impact on my teammates.
Every day I strive to become a stronger, faster, smarter athlete. I am dedicated to becoming the best football player I can be. I want to work harder than anyone else. Aside from high school weightlifting and football strength training, I also attend training (at 5:30 am) at Militia Fitness every morning before school.
I am also a three-sport athlete. I have played (and lettered in) soccer since 9th grade and won Defensive Player of the Year two years in a row. I also run Track (since 9th grade) and qualified for State in the 300 hurdles. I qualified for Districts and Regionals in the 110 Hurdles, 4x400, and 4x100. I was the captain of our track team this year (2022-2023) and hope to continue to grow as an athlete/leader my senior year.
I also maintain a very balanced life as a student, and my hard work and dedication on and off the field set me as an example for many of my fellow students. I am currently a member of the Student Government, Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Junior Classical League officer, and a member of my high school Leadership Team.
My family is a vital part of my life, and always encourage me to keep grinding. I am willing to outwork my peers and I'm not afraid to fail, get back up, and keep going. I am open to whatever God has planned for me and am excited to see what the future holds for this upcoming football season and, Lord willing, my college football career.
